BRANDrill is one of the flagship events organized by Voice of Business. BRANDrill – 2017 is the first ever national business case competition organized by a representative in Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka. The aim behind this competition is to prepare the business students to do their best in the field of branding through experiencing real life problems and scenarios of the business world. The rounds and tasks of this competition are designed to provide the students with practical knowledge on different brands and their branding strategies. Inspirational and successful personalities from the branding industry are invited as mentor and judge for the students to guide them and also to share their experiences.


BRANDrill 2017 consisted of three rounds. The first round was about building a new brand with given product portfolio and 50 teams were selected to compete in the second round. Before the second phase, a workshop was held and coordinated by experienced mentor to guide the students for the second round’s task. In the second round, the participants had to make a TVC on their brand and explain the idea behind the TVC. After evaluation, 10 teams were proceeded to the final round. There they had to present an IMC campaign and describe it in details to achieve the winner’s title. Among 10 teams, 3 teams were announced as Champion, First-runners up and Second-runners up. The champion team ‘Second String’ won a prize money of BDT 1,00,000. The First-runners up ‘Team Forza’ won a prize money of BDT 60,000 and the second-runners up ‘Team Crime Master Gogo’ got a prize money of BDT 40,000. The entire competition had been sponsored by City Group. The enormous success of BRANDrill Season 1 has led us to arrange another successful Season in 2018.
