Voice of Business launched the latest season of its signature national branding competition – Alesha Agro Ltd presents BRANDrill 4.0 powered by Alesha Pharmacy in 2021. Since 2017, BRANDrill, the Ultimate Branding Showdown, has been the platform for students to learn the current practices of branding and gain hands on experience. Like the previous year, this year the event went virtually too considering the pandemic situation. Our event received good wishes from Moin Reza Nadim, Assistant Professor, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), H.A. Sweety, Head of HR & Culture, Pathao and inviduals from our club partners – to make it a success.

The country-wide branding was started on November 15, 2021. Undergraduate students participated from all over the country through online registration with the help of our club partners. The first round was held on 9th December,2021 through online case submission. With the combination OVC, slide submission and presentation of the given solution, the second round held on 14th December. After these two rounds, finalist teams got the opportunity to participate in an online workshop on 25th December,2021 to gain branding and marketing insights.


Only 6 of the teams made it to the grand finale. In this round, the teams made online presentations of their IMC campaign planning. Honorable Jury Members for the final round were Dr. Muhammad Ismail Hossain, Professor, Department of Marketing, University of Dhaka. Md. Nazmul Hasan, Associate Professor, Department of Banking and Insurance, University of Dhaka. Nahid Jahan, Executive Director, Marketing and Communication, Alesha Holdings Ltd., Md Iftekhar Alam, Deputy General Manager, Brand Strategy and Creative Marketing, Grameenphone, Asadul Hossain, Assistant Director, Planning, Alesha Holdings Ltd., The Grand Finale took place on 30th December,2021; the honorable Dean of Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka- Dr. Muhammad Abdul Moyeen was present in this closing round as the chief guest.

Team Voyagers was announced the Champion of the competition, Bandits of Levin became the First runner up and Team GG was the Second Runner up. The winner teams received a total prize pool of BDT 150000. The Champion Team got direct access to internship program at Pathao and the 1st and 2nd Runner Ups were fast tracked to the interview round of this renowned company.

The prize giving ceremony of BRANDrill 4.0 was held on 29th January,2021 at Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka. Mr. Nazmul Hasan, Associate Professor, Department of Banking & Insurance and Md. Razib Alam, Associate Professor, Department of Marketing were present in the ceremony.
